3,751: That’s how many children in Tampa Bay were in foster care last year because their homes were not safe.

That breaks our heart, and we know it breaks yours as well. Tampa Bay leads the state in that sobering statistic. Due to 50% of foster families quitting after 1 year and a lack of foster family homes to begin with, a child’s experience in the system can add trauma to the trauma of already being removed from their biological family.

Florida 1.27 is changing that.

Through 10 years of hard work implementing a proven model of engaging churches, businesses, and organizations to support children and families, there are 1,300 fewer children in foster care and 90% of foster families continuing after 1 year when supported by Florida 1.27.

We can do more, but we need your help.

Purchase your ticket(s) to attend, become an event sponsor to help us cover the cost of the event, or do both! Your support enables life-changing intervention for vulnerable children and families. Last year, $46,000 was raised at Florida 1.27’s first annual fundraiser. The goal this year is to raise $127,000.
