The four (4) Saturday sessions are designed to complement one another. However, each Saturday also provides meaningful stand-alone learning. Participants are welcome to attend the full series or attend individual sessions that fit his or her schedule.

  • Balancing structure and nurture

  • Everyday engagement strategies that build trust

  • Using play, eye contact, voice, and healthy interactions to support relationships

Creating Safety & Supporting Regulation

Explore how meeting physical needs and creating predictable environments help children regulate emotions, reduce stress, and thrive.

Topics include:

  • The importance of felt-safety

  • Supporting regulation through nutrition, sleep, hydration, and movement

  • Understanding sensory needs and preferences

  • Routines, transitions, and environments for success

  • Practical strategies for helping children develop self-regulation skills

Teaching New Skills & Responding to Behaviors

Learn relationship-based strategies for teaching appropriate behaviors while maintaining connection, trust, and dignity during difficult moments.

  • Understanding the Correcting Principles

  • Proactive strategies that teach skills before problems arise

  • Sharing power, offering choices, and using Life Value Terms

  • The IDEAL Response for responding to challenging behaviors

  • Repairing relationships after conflict
